This Privacy Policy explains what information Cooking with Kawish (cookingwithkawish.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Cooking with Kawish is a recipe website linked to the “Cooking with kawish” YouTube channel. We share recipes that we film in restaurant and street-food kitchens in Karachi, Pakistan.
2. Information we collect
- Comments: when you leave a comment, we collect the name, email and text you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. An anonymised string made from your email (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. See the Gravatar privacy policy.
- Contact form: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email and message so we can reply to you.
- Usage data: like most websites, our server and our analytics and advertising partners collect basic technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location.
3. Cookies

6. Embedded YouTube videos
Our recipe videos are embedded from YouTube. When you play a video, YouTube (owned by Google) may set cookies and collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Content embedded from other websites behaves as if you visited that website.
7. How long we keep data
Comments and their details are kept so we can approve follow-up comments automatically. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to reply.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. This does not include data we must keep for legal or security reasons. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California), you may have extra rights, such as objecting to how your data is used.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
