Main Ingredients
  • 1 kg beef cut into small pieces
Spices
  • 2 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp green chili paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
Additional Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp fried onion
  • 2 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried coconut powder
  • 1 pinch food color

Method
 

Step 1: Preparation
  1. Cut the beef into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Grind the ginger, garlic, and green chili into a paste.
Step 2: Mixing Spices
  1. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala powder, white pepper powder, and black pepper powder to the beef and mix well.
  2. Add the fried onion, ghee or oil, salt, and dried coconut powder to the beef and mix well.
Step 3: Kneading
  1. Knead the mixture for 10-15 minutes until it becomes smooth and sticky.
Step 4: Shaping and Cooking
  1. Divide the mixture into small portions and shape into kababs.
  2. Cook the kababs on low heat for 10-15 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through.
  3. Serve the kababs hot with a side of naan or rice.

Storage: refrigerate 3 days, freeze 2 months. Reheat on stovetop. Pro tip from video: make sure to mix the ingredients well and cook the kababs on low heat to prevent burning.
