Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 kg mutton bone-in
  • 1 cup yogurt
Spices
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 3-4 cardamom
  • 5-6 cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 3-4 onions

Method
 

Step 1: Preparation
  1. Take 1 cup of yogurt and beat it well.
  2. Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp of red chili powder, 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, and 1 tsp of turmeric to the yogurt and mix well.
Step 2: Marination
  1. Add the mutton pieces to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp of salt, 3-4 cardamom, and 5-6 cloves to the mutton mixture and mix well.
Step 3: Cooking
  1. Heat 1 cup of cooking oil in a pan and add the mutton mixture to it.
  2. Cook the mutton mixture on high flame for 3-4 minutes, then reduce the flame to low and cook for 1-2 hours or until the mutton is tender.
Step 4: Finishing
  1. Add 3-4 chopped onions to the mutton mixture and cook until they are brown.
  2. Add a little water to the mutton mixture and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Storage: refrigerate 3 days, freeze 2 months. Reheat on stovetop.
